I have a 8HP Briggs & Stratton Engine, that I’am rebuilding, and I have all of the parts and stuff now, so I have to repaint it now. And I really liked that black paint that was on it before because it was a black high heat paint, and it had a gloss in it. I have looked at some stores, but I can’t find a high heat black gloss paint. Can anyone help me find some high heat black gloss paint, perticulary spray paint? And also, can you tell the best method to remove the spray paint that it already on the engine? Would buying a bucket, and filling it about 3 quarters of the way full, and putting some parts in it for a couple days remove all of the paint?

When I take off from a dead stop my go kart jolts real bad, especially with the extra weight of another person. Imagine the chain slipping around the sprockets if it were too lose or worn out, that is what it feels like but that is not the problem. I’m pretty sure it has to be the torque converter. What do you think? Also, what is a good online place for go kart parts?
